What Caught Our Attention

Silver Pony Resources Corp. (CSE: PONY; FSE: BJ40; OTC: PONIF) started trading on the Canadian Securities Exchange in mid-2026 after completing a reverse takeover of the former Carlyle Commodities Corp. The company controls 37,022 hectares across 37 contiguous mineral tenures in southeastern British Columbia’s Slocan and Revelstoke Mining Districts, a region with more than a century of silver production history. That’s a genuinely large, district-scale position for a junior this early in its life.

Highlights

  • Silver Pony Resources Corp. controls a 37,022-hectare, district-scale land package in BC’s historic Slocan and Revelstoke Mining Districts.
  • Historic, selective surface samples on the property include a 3,549 g/t silver chip sample (Black Warrior) and a 12,147 g/t silver plus 10.7% copper grab sample (Old Gold). NOTICE: these are historical exploration results only, have not been verified by a Qualified Person, and do not constitute a current Mineral Resource or Mineral Reserve estimate; the Company is not treating them as such. See the full Disclosure at the end of this article.
  • Maiden drilling has now tested three separate target areas, Revelstoke Trend, Black Warrior, and Old Gold, with every hole showing geological signatures consistent with the company’s models and a recent surface grab sample at Revelstoke returning 442 g/t silver.
  • No drill-core assay results have been received for any hole to date; historic and surface sample figures cited here are selective and have not been independently verified.

Historic Sampling on the Property, and What It Does Not Mean

Scattered across the property are historic sample results: a chip sample returning 3,549 grams per tonne silver at the company’s Black Warrior target, and a grab sample returning 12,147 grams per tonne silver alongside 10.7% copper at the Old Gold target. These figures are historical exploration results presented here for informational context only, not a resource estimate, and readers should not treat them as predictive of what any future resource will grade. These are historic, selective surface samples, chip and grab samples, not drill intercepts, cited from decades-old B.C. Assessment Reports (AR 22917 and AR 30719). Grab samples in particular are chosen because they look promising at the surface; they are not representative of the average grade across a target area. See the full Disclosure at the end of this article for detailed historical-data verification limitations.

First Holes at a New Target

The company reported a fourth exploration update on August 27, 2026, from the Revelstoke Trend, a part of the property that had never been drilled before August 14. All three completed holes there intersected galena-pyrite vein breccias at the marble-schist contacts predicted by surface mapping, and a surface grab sample from a related target returned 1,610 grams per tonne silver. These are qualitative core-logging observations, not assay results, and no drill-core assays have been received for any hole on the project to date, at either Black Warrior or Revelstoke Trend. The Qualified Person for that release, Jeremy Hanson, P.Geo., is also a director of the company, a dual role rather than full outside independence.

The company now has three separate target areas showing geological signatures consistent with its models, rather than two, which broadens the thesis but also means more of the story now rests on assay results that have not yet arrived. The core question from this article’s original analysis has not changed, whether the historic sampling and alteration evidence add up to an economic grade, it is simply being asked in three places instead of one.

Why the Company Is Still Investing in Follow-Up Work

The company’s maiden diamond drill program, which started in July 2026, has now surpassed 2,000 meters across nine completed holes, with a tenth underway. The company reports that all holes intersected geological features, dolomitization, manganese enrichment, dissolution-related porosity, and galena-pyrite vein breccias, consistent with a carbonate replacement (CRD) system, the deposit type associated with historic high-grade production in this district. This is alteration and mineralization evidence gathered partly through portable XRF readings and core logging, which the company itself describes as preliminary and for geological guidance only. No drill-core assay results have been released yet. Alteration indicating a system is present is not the same as an assay confirming grade, and as of this writing, Silver Pony has only the former, along with preliminary surface grab samples returning up to 103.0 grams per tonne gold, 442 grams per tonne silver at Revelstoke, and 1,610 grams per tonne silver at the Northwest Trend, samples the company describes as selective and not necessarily representative.

The Real Risks

This is an early-stage exploration company with no resource estimate, no revenue, and no certainty that any of its targets will prove economic. It only recently began trading via a reverse takeover, which historically has meant thin trading volume and higher volatility than an established listing. The historic samples referenced above are, again, selective and unverified; real drilling could return grades well below what those old samples suggest. Like any single-project junior, the company’s fortunes are tied heavily to how its current drill program turns out.

On liquidity specifically, Silver Pony’s trading activity has run counter to the thin-volume pattern typical of a newly listed junior: even during a seasonally slow August, trading volume stayed well above average, with roughly 5 million shares traded, a notable level of market engagement for a company this early in its life. That does not eliminate volatility risk, but it does suggest the stock has not struggled to find buyers and sellers the way some newly listed micro-caps do.

Bottom Line

Silver Pony’s district-scale land position, historic sampling, and a live, systematically designed drill program together form a story worth following in this sector. None of it is proven yet. The assays from the current program, expected over the coming months, are the actual test of whether the historic sampling and the alteration evidence add up to something real.

Data Verification and Historical Information

Jeremy Hanson, P.Geo., has reviewed and approved the scientific and technical information presented in this article. His review included the underlying technical information and supporting records, including available exploration reports, sampling records, drill logs, assay certificates, analytical results and quality assurance/quality control data.

Historical information is derived from records prepared by previous operators. Verification of historical results is limited by the availability and completeness of the original sampling records, analytical documentation and supporting data. Review and approval of their inclusion in this article does not constitute independent confirmation of every underlying historical result. Specific verification limitations are identified alongside the applicable information.

Historical and recent selective samples may not represent mineralization across the property and do not establish average grades, continuity or economic viability. Float samples consist of loose material displaced from its original bedrock location and do not, by themselves, establish that source. Sample-specific sources, methods and limitations are provided alongside the applicable results.

Exploration Risk

Silver Pony Resources Corp. is an early-stage exploration company. Individual sample results and visual drill-core observations do not establish a mineral resource, mineral reserve or economically viable deposit. Visual observations of sulphides do not establish metal grades; laboratory assays are required to determine the metal content of sampled drill intervals. Historical mining activity and district comparisons provide context and do not predict exploration results on the Company’s property.

Exploration may fail to identify economically significant mineralization. Further work may require additional financing, which may not be available on acceptable terms and could dilute existing shareholders.

Forward-Looking Information

This article contains forward-looking information, including statements concerning planned exploration and drilling, geological objectives, the timing and interpretation of laboratory results, potential discoveries, future financing and potential proceeds from the sale of investment holdings.

Forward-looking information contained in this content is based on assumptions and expectations believed to be reasonable as at the date of this content, including that required approvals and financing will be available, contractors, equipment and personnel will be available as planned, and exploration activities and laboratory analysis will be completed on the anticipated timelines. Although such assumptions and expectations are considered reasonable, they are inherently subject to significant business, economic, market, technological, regulatory and competitive uncertainties and contingencies, many of which are beyond the control of Silver Pony Resources Corp. There can be no assurance that these assumptions will prove correct or that the outcomes contemplated by the forward-looking information will occur.

Such risks and uncertainties include, among others: the speculative nature of mineral exploration, failure to obtain necessary financing or approvals, exploration or operational delays, variations in laboratory timelines, results that differ from geological interpretations or surface sampling, and commodity-price and capital-market volatility.
