Tectonic Metals Inc. (TSXV: TECT; OTCQX: TETOF) reported the longest mineralized intersection to date at the Black Creek target within its Flat Gold Project in southwest Alaska.
Reverse-circulation hole CMR26-159 returned 91.44 meters grading 2.86 grams per tonne gold from 22.86 meters downhole.
The interval included 41.15 meters grading 5.61 g/t gold and 13.72 meters at 12.94 g/t. The 41.15-meter section continued to the bottom of the hole, leaving the mineralization open at depth.
Hole Steps South of Earlier Results
CMR26-159 was drilled approximately 100 meters south of Black Creek’s 2025 discovery hole, which returned 4.50 g/t gold over 48.77 meters.
The latest hole also sits approximately 30 meters south of two previously reported 2026 holes. Those holes returned 5.09 g/t gold over 21.34 meters and 1.89 g/t over 57.91 meters, respectively, and both ended in mineralization.
Gold at Black Creek is predominantly hosted in altered and hornfelsed sedimentary rocks associated with quartz-carbonate-stibnite veining, fracturing and mafic dykes. This differs from the mainly monzonite-hosted mineralization at the nearby Chicken Mountain target.
Tectonic interprets the higher-grade zones as potentially steeply dipping and structurally controlled. Additional drilling and oriented core analysis will be required to determine their geometry and continuity.
Remaining Holes Return Mixed Results
Tectonic reported assays from six Black Creek holes totaling 525 meters.
Hole CMR26-158 returned 30.48 meters grading 0.46 g/t gold from surface, including 6.10 meters at 1.23 g/t. A separate interval returned 30.48 meters at 0.31 g/t.
Hole CMR26-157 returned no significant gold intersections, although it ended above the depth of the higher-grade interval in CMR26-159. Three other holes encountered predominantly lower-grade mineralization, including 1.52 meters at 1.99 g/t gold in CMR26-155.
The mixed results show that the higher-grade zone has not yet been consistently intersected across the surrounding drill pattern.
Follow-Up Drilling Planned
Tectonic has completed approximately 1,600 meters across 18 holes at Black Creek, with gold mineralization reported in 17 holes.
Drilling has tested an area measuring approximately 100 by 200 meters to a vertical depth of less than 200 meters. That footprint lies within a gold-in-soil anomaly measuring approximately 1,500 by 700 meters, more than 85% of which remains untested.
The company plans to drill beneath the open intersections, test areas between the strongest results and conduct step-out drilling along interpreted structural trends. Oriented diamond drilling is also planned to improve the geological model.
Across the wider Flat project, Tectonic completed approximately 31,000 meters in 166 holes through October. Most of that drilling focused on the more advanced Chicken Mountain target.
Black Creek Has No Mineral Resource
Black Creek is one of six reduced intrusion-related gold targets identified at Flat and is located approximately six kilometers from Chicken Mountain.
Tectonic is targeting a maiden Mineral Resource estimate for Chicken Mountain during the first quarter of 2027, followed by a preliminary economic assessment in the second quarter. Those planned studies apply to Chicken Mountain, not Black Creek.
Black Creek does not currently have a Mineral Resource, Mineral Reserve or economic study. Historical production and nearby placer mining also do not establish the size, continuity or economic viability of the mineralization encountered by current drilling.
All reported intersections are downhole lengths, and true widths have not been determined. The composites use gold cutoffs of 0.10, 0.30 or 0.50 g/t and permit up to 3.2 meters of continuous material below the applicable cutoff.
