Cascadia Minerals Ltd. (TSXV: CAM; OTCQB: CAMNF) reported three additional drill results from its 2026 exploration program at the Carmacks copper-gold project in central Yukon.
Hole CD-26-058 intersected 75.55 meters grading 1.19% copper, 0.97 grams per tonne gold, 10.4 g/t silver and 335 parts per million molybdenum. Cascadia calculated the interval at 2.18% copper equivalent.
The result included 48.66 meters grading 1.61% copper and 1.39 g/t gold, or 3.03% CuEq. A narrower 14.50-meter section returned 2.30% copper, 2.68 g/t gold, 29.5 g/t silver and 1,015 ppm molybdenum, equivalent to 5.08% CuEq.
Step-Out Drilling Extends Zone 2000S
Hole CD-26-058 tested the northeastern extension of Zone 2000S, approximately 100 meters from a previously reported hole. Cascadia said the mineralized area remains open both up-dip and at depth.
Hole CD-26-059, drilled another 82 meters north, returned 93.99 meters grading 0.96% copper and 0.70 g/t gold, or 1.94% CuEq. It included 63.97 meters grading 1.26% copper and 0.96 g/t gold, equivalent to 2.52% CuEq.
A third hole, CD-26-057, intersected 60.51 meters grading 0.71% copper and 0.37 g/t gold, or 1.10% CuEq. That intersection was encountered approximately 430 meters vertically below surface and represented the deepest test completed on its section.
Cascadia said drilling has now traced sulphide mineralization approximately 300 meters north of the existing Zone 2000S resource boundary. The new drilling also places the mineralized trend within approximately 300 meters of the southern extent of Zone 147.
The company’s interpretation that the zones may connect requires additional drilling and geological modeling.
Expanded Drill Program Nears Completion
Cascadia has completed 36 holes totaling 17,309 meters during its expanded 18,000-meter program. The company expects drilling to continue until mid-October.
Sixteen holes had been reported before the latest announcement, leaving assays from several completed holes pending. Six additional holes drilled around the Zone 2000S extension encountered sulphide mineralization, but visual observations do not determine the grades those holes may return.
The new results have not yet been incorporated into an updated Mineral Resource estimate.
Existing Resource Predates New Results
The Carmacks deposit contains a Measured and Indicated Mineral Resource of 36.3 million tonnes grading 0.81% copper, 0.26 g/t gold, 3.23 g/t silver and 0.01% molybdenum.
It also contains an Inferred Mineral Resource of 2.9 million tonnes grading 0.60% copper, 0.16 g/t gold, 2.34 g/t silver and 0.02% molybdenum.
Those estimates predate the current drilling. Additional modeling would be required to determine whether the latest intersections increase or improve the classification of the resource.
A 2023 preliminary economic assessment outlined potential project economics, but it remains preliminary and includes Inferred Mineral Resources considered too speculative to support conclusions normally associated with Mineral Reserves.
True Widths and CuEq Assumptions
The reported intervals are drilled thicknesses. Cascadia estimates true widths at approximately 60% to 70% of the reported lengths.
Copper-equivalent calculations used assumed prices of US$4 per pound for copper, US$2,500 per ounce for gold, US$30 per ounce for silver and US$20 per pound for molybdenum.
The calculations also applied projected recoveries of 82% for copper, 70% for gold, 69% for silver and 70% for molybdenum, based on the 2023 PEA.
The drill results provide additional evidence of mineralization beyond the existing resource boundary, but they do not establish a Mineral Reserve or demonstrate that the project will be developed economically.
