PTX Metals Inc. (TSXV: PTX; OTCQB: PANXF; Frankfurt: 9PX) reported on September 14, 2026, in a release distributed via PRNewswire, that it has restarted drilling at its flagship W2 Copper-Nickel-PGE Project near the gateway to Ontario’s Ring of Fire, a mineral-rich but largely undeveloped region in the province’s remote north. The company also disclosed a new agreement to pay an outside firm for investor outreach, a step many small-cap exploration companies take to raise their profile with institutional buyers.
Highlights
- PTX Metals Inc. (TSXV: PTX; OTCQB: PANXF; Frankfurt: 9PX) has resumed a 5,000-meter diamond drilling program at its W2 Copper-Nickel-PGE Project in northwestern Ontario, following a pause that began in January 2026 for First Nations consultation.
- The company has also entered a four-month investor-outreach agreement with DK Capital Partners, paying $18,500 CAD in cash plus 200,000 stock options, subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval.
- No new assay or resource figures were released; the update covers program logistics, community engagement, and the marketing agreement only.
Drilling Resumes After a Community Consultation Pause
PTX paused field work at W2 in January 2026 to allow more time for Crown consultation and direct engagement with First Nations communities connected to the project area, a process the company said has continued for four years. With a recently extended exploration permit now in place, the company has restarted a 5,000-meter diamond drilling program in W2’s underexplored Central area, concentrated on what the company calls the CA1 Zone, a copper-nickel target near the southeastern portion of the property. PTX has also been running soil sampling and prospecting work since summer 2026 across several target areas, aimed at refining where future drill holes should go.
CEO Greg Ferron said the current program follows six prior exploration campaigns at W2 involving local communities, including a signed letter of intent with one First Nation outlining ongoing communication and initial opportunities for its members.
What’s Being Explored
W2 sits within the Landsdowne House Igneous Complex, a layered rock formation that hosts several types of mineralization, including the copper-nickel-platinum group element (Cu-Ni-PGE) mineralization currently being drill-tested, along with iron-titanium-vanadium and gold occurrences elsewhere on the property. The company likens the setting to other layered intrusions such as South Africa’s Bushveld Complex, though W2 remains an early-stage exploration project without a current mineral resource estimate.
Investor Outreach Agreement
Separately, PTX has agreed to pay 15605237 Canada Inc., operating as DK Capital Partners and controlled by Daniel Kozel, to arrange meetings with investment advisors, portfolio managers, and accredited investors. Under the four-month agreement, PTX will pay DK Capital Partners $18,500 CAD in cash, split into a $15,000 upfront payment and a $3,500 payment partway through the term, plus 200,000 stock options exercisable at $0.11 per share for three years, vesting over 12 months. The engagement and option grant remain subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval. Neither DK Capital Partners nor Kozel holds any existing interest in PTX shares beyond the options being granted.
Arrangements like this are a routine way for junior exploration companies to build awareness in the investment community, though the stock options involved do add modestly to potential share dilution if exercised. This is a fee PTX itself is paying to a third-party marketing firm; it is unrelated to Mining Markets Report’s own compensation status, and Mining Markets Report has not been compensated for this coverage.
