Nevada Organic Phosphate Reports Clean Heavy Metal Assays

Highlights

  • Heavy metal contaminant assays for hole MM26-10 at Murdock Mountain, previously pending, have come back well below both California state limits and AAPFCO’s SUIP #25 fertilizer standard for organic certification.
  • The result supports Nevada Organic Phosphate’s positioning around organic-certifiable phosphate, though the company has not yet obtained formal organic certification for the property.
  • Separately, the company disclosed a paid, arm’s-length agreement with Emerging Growth Research LLC to produce and distribute a $25,000 research report; this is a third-party arrangement disclosed by Nevada Organic Phosphate and is unrelated to Mining Markets Report.

Nevada Organic Phosphate Inc. (CSE: NOP; OTCQB: NOPFF) reported on August 31, 2026 that heavy metal contaminant assays for hole MM26-10 at its Murdock Mountain project in northeast Nevada, the same hole the company reported a strong phosphate grade for on August 26, have come back well below the maximum thresholds used to determine whether a phosphate fertilizer qualifies for organic certification. This closes the loop on data the company had previously said was still pending.

What the Numbers Show

Across the four sampled intervals within the reported zone, contaminant levels for elements like arsenic, cadmium, lead, and mercury came in well under both California’s state heavy-metal thresholds and the more commonly referenced AAPFCO SUIP #25 standard (a voluntary industry benchmark most U.S. states use to determine whether a fertilizer is considered contaminated). For example, arsenic readings ranged from about 5 to 11 parts per million across the samples, against a SUIP #25 limit of 130 ppm at the phosphate grade reported; lead readings ranged from roughly 28 to 74 ppm against a 610 ppm limit. CEO Robin Dow said the result continues to demonstrate clean, low heavy-metal content consistent with the company’s positioning.

Why This Matters for the Company’s Story

Organic certification for a mineral fertilizer in the U.S. is governed by the USDA National Organic Program, which does not publish its own numeric heavy-metal limits but instead requires that soil amendments not contaminate soil or crops; in practice, certifiers lean on state fertilizer laws, which almost universally adopt the SUIP #25 framework as the practical benchmark. Meeting those limits is necessary but not sufficient for organic certification, a fertilizer also generally must be mined rather than chemically processed and free of synthetic additives, and Nevada Organic Phosphate has not stated that it has obtained formal organic certification for Murdock Mountain. This result is best understood as supportive evidence for that eventual positioning, not certification itself.

The company said assaying and quality-control work was conducted by ALS Laboratories, an ISO/IEC 17025:2017-accredited lab, using a four-acid digestion method paired with ICP-MS and ICP-AES analysis, with blank samples inserted roughly every 11 samples and certified reference material standards roughly every 22 samples.

A Separate Disclosure: Paid Research Report

In the same release, Nevada Organic Phosphate disclosed that it has entered into a consulting agreement, dated August 25, 2026, with Emerging Growth Research LLC, under which the consultant will produce a research report covering the company’s operations, business model, and investment potential, to be distributed via financial data platforms including FactSet, Bloomberg, LSEG Eikon, and S&P Capital IQ. The company disclosed it will pay Emerging Growth Research a fixed fee of US$25,000 for the research, production, and distribution work, with the report expected within four to six weeks. Nevada Organic Phosphate states that Emerging Growth Research is an arm’s-length party that holds no securities in the company and will retain full editorial control over the report’s content, and that materials produced under the agreement will disclose they are paid for by the company, as required under applicable securities law. This arrangement is between Nevada Organic Phosphate and Emerging Growth Research; it is unrelated to Mining Markets Report, and Mining Markets Report has not independently reviewed or verified the terms beyond what the company has disclosed.
